Peldon Rose is delivering a sophisticated, high-quality office refurbishment at Portman Square in the West End for a prestigious private equity firm. Phase one is complete, comprising a striking office floor, with phase two works currently underway, which will result in an elegant space with client suites, social spaces, and kitchen facilities on the floor directly above.
A highlight of the design will be an impactful staircase which Peldon Rose are inserting to provide connection across the floors, bringing teams together and promoting synergy. The workplace will span 22,457 sq ft total across both floors.
Phase one works comprised a design and build programme to deliver a fully refurbished office floor, including desking, meeting rooms, zoom rooms, breakout spaces, and private offices. The team introduced a striking colour scheme punctuated by tonal juxtaposition and strong leading lines.
An enclosed, branded arrival area creates a strong first impression as you enter, which carries through to the open plan areas throughout the rest of the floor. Rich, dark tones extend throughout the ceiling and carpeting which visually echo each other, wrapping around the desking, meeting rooms, and provide offices to create striking, well-defined circulation routes. Furniture pieces feature dark tones and wooden finishes to serve the interplay of light and dark, enhancing a sense of timeless elegance.
Peldon Rose balanced open plan areas with private office requirements, ensuring the workplace met the needs of staff at all levels. Internal meeting rooms feature high-quality finishes and varied textures, including leather, different types and shades of wood, and woven acoustic panelling.
The team drove an exceptionally smooth construction phase to deliver the high-quality office floor. Phase two works will feature the integration of an architectural staircase to connect the two floors and promote unity, collaboration, and culture. Greater accessibility from the office floor to the in-progress client suites, social spaces, and kitchen facilities above will punctuate the already outstanding workplace offering.
Keep an eye out for the phase two case study coming soon.
