Marlin Equity relocated their office to Verde SW1 in Victoria as they wanted a new workplace which offered them space to grow into, as well as an opportunity to adopt new ways of working. Marlin’s new London office was designed to underline the company’s core values and demonstrate their standing in the market.
Having an environment that was distinctive and fostered their own culture was an important goal that Marlin wanted to achieve with their office relocation. Throughout the new office design there is a consistent and strong brand presence, helping to uplift the space with intricate details. By incorporating their brand colours and logo, the office now creates a memorable impression for visiting clients and their staff.
With our unique knowledge of this property and the professional relationship we have with the landlord teams, we were uniquely qualified to deliver this project for Marlin Equity. The office design and build in Verde SW1 was focused on maximising employee productivity, talent acquisition and enhancing the experience of visiting clients and guests. The main open plan space features a breakout kitchen and lounge area, with timber floor and feature brick wall. This is a multi-purpose area and helps to ensure that the company maximises the use of their space efficiently. This provided staff with a space to hold informal meetings and eat lunch together and the furniture, chosen by our in-house furniture team, helped create a stylish, modern look.
The new meeting suites allow for much more privacy and flexibility. The larger boardroom is supported by smaller rooms which are better suited for private meetings and quick catch ups. Building this meeting suite meant that the larger meeting rooms were being optimised and smaller rooms were still providing a professional and confidential environment.
Marlin Equity were going through a period of expansion, and with an increasing head count their need for a bright breakout space and tea point had become more important. These spaces provided Marlin with a greater sense of community and gave staff somewhere to break away from their desks.
The breakout added more flexibility and natural light to office and helped to make it a fresher environment in the open plan. We used the Marlin Equity corporate blue colours to energise the space and accentuate the main feature – the wall-mounted blue marlin.
