Peldon Rose's People & Talent Manager Josephine De Klerk chats about our employee wellbeing strategy and what we're doing to help ease the financial pressure for our employees.

In these uncertain times, we understand managing personal finances is more important than ever, and recognise that at times this can be overwhelming for some. As part of our employee wellbeing strategy, we partnered with The Money Charity and Broadstone to provide finance wellbeing and pension seminars throughout September 2022.

Who are The Money Charity?

For 25 years, The Money Charity has been helping people take control of their finances, become financially capable and achieve financial wellbeing. The topics covered include:

  • Budgeting and keeping track of your money
  • Credit, borrowing and your credit score
  • Where to access support for debt
  • Savings and investments
  • How to make your money work harder
  • Explore what influences our relationship with money
  • The importance of financial resilience

Understanding pensions

Following feedback from our employee wellbeing survey, which followed Mental Health Awareness Week 2022, employees stated that they’d like more information surrounding pensions. So, we arranged for a Pension Advisor from Broadstone to provide the team with an overview of all things relating to personal pensions and to answer any questions relating to pensions, whether you are at the start of your career or starting to think about retirement.
