Our Sprints team is made up of influencers in our industry, thought leaders in their field and advocates for creating a sustainable future. Each with their own unique offering of skills and knowledge, we’ve built a diverse team with the power to disrupt.
A Sprint is a five-part process for answering critical business questions, prototyping and testing ideas.
It incorporates business strategy, innovation, behavioural science, design thinking, and more – all packaged into a battle-tested process that any team can use. A Sprint can shortcut the endless debate cycle and compress months of development.
The Sustainability Sprints scenario looks at the idea of a 15-Minute City in relation to a fictional workplace; By building cities that offer hyper-proximity, we can reduce the need for long distance commutes to the workplace, minimising emissions produced by the working population and providing residents with valuable time to spend as they wish.
The end goal is to create a sustainable workplace that supports the 15-Minute City ethos.
The mapping stage is a universal starting point for design Sprints that will map out a user’s experience step-by-step as they encounter a problem space. This method enables the team to get into the mindset of the user and immediately illuminates pain points, identifying opportunities to create new or improved user experience.
During the sketch stage, the Sprint team begins to generate ideas, gathering inspiration from other office designs and sustainability initiatives.
This stage sees the Sprint team finalise the direction and concept that they’d like to move forward with. A key part of this stage is digging deeper into each idea and interrogating the pros and cons of each aspect, from the angle of all stakeholders.
Once the final idea has been decided, the team will work together to create a prototype for this concept, considering the design of the office and how each part supports the sustainability target. In this stage, decisions are made around exactly what the concept is and includes.
The final stage of the Sustainability Sprints sees the Sprint team present their concept in front of an audience of users to gather feedback on the feasibility of this design. This stage will include a Q&A session with the wider audience.
