With over 35 years of continuous operating experience, QGOG Constellation is a market leading provider of oil and gas drilling and FPSO services in Brazil. QGOG Constellation relocated from serviced office space in Victoria, to the iconic One Strand. Taking residence in the heart of Charing Cross, their stunning new office provides a central hub for staff, international clients and visiting members of the team from Brazil and Luxembourg.
The office design needed to be visually striking while evoking a sleek, professional atmosphere in their 1,900 sq ft office space. We worked closely with QGOG to truly understand their business culture, team ethos and brand values. The result is an office design that creates a sleek and professional environment and a space that inspires confidence and a sense of stability and self-assured professionalism.
A large digital graphic has been installed within reception, featuring one of QGOG’s many drilling rigs. An immediate sense of identity and presence is realised using this artwork, combined with QGOG’s brand which is strongly represented throughout the whole of QGOG’s welcoming reception area.
With offices in Luxembourg and Brazil, video conferencing is an essential part of QGOG’s business. All meeting rooms include conferencing technology that allows quick communication between the team.
A touch of Brazilian office culture has been introduced with a series of individual offices for the management team. Whilst privacy between offices was important on one hand, a sense of light and transparency also formed a central part of the brief. As such, all cross walls between offices are formed with double glazed partitions. This allows natural light from the perimeter windows to flood the space, providing a fresh and uplifting workspace.
To ensure the office design retained a high level of professionalism without looking lavish, we carefully blended traditional styles with more modern finishes. One of the main design elements was the vibrant orange brand colours of QGOG. This brand colour was introduced throughout the office, most prominently in the front of house area and in the office manifestations. The orange uplifts the office space and combines well with the more traditional walnut finishes.
