Harkand Global relocated from serviced office space in Chiswick to the second floor of The Metro Building in Hammersmith. As they were leaving serviced office space, it was essential for Harkand that they create a people focused workspace which focuses on staff welfare, whilst giving clients a sense of tradition and confidence.
To achieve the professional but contemporary image that Harkand were after, we kept the office design fairly traditional throughout, thus creating a sense of stability and reliability. The office space is predominantly cellular with a range of separate meeting spaces including a large boardroom with video conferencing capabilities for their high-level global meetings. A large tea point with an abundance of natural light was introduced for staff to enjoy, whilst offering ample catering room for external client meetings.
To personalise the office, Harkand’s corporate colours were subtly introduced alongside the full height oak veneered doors and frames. Cushion backed carpet tiles were installed to address the acoustic properties of the rooms and add to the sense of quality and comfort.
Our in-house furniture experts helped Harkand to reutilise some of their existing furniture, which was bought in from Sharjah, for the individual offices. The open plan office makes more space for new workstations and pedestals fitted with brand-coloured desk mounted screens. Within the tea point we specified and installed stylish café style chairs with a polished chrome wire frame. The result is a comfortable and light social environment that can also facilitate informal meetings when required.
We have moved into a new office space that's been transformational for us, in terms of the way we work together to the personalization of the office
