Office relocation for Gyroscope

Gyroscope develops cutting edge medicines and surgical devices for the treatment of eye diseases. Their office relocation project was a chance to establish an office in London which could act as a central hub for transient staff, adding another office alongside their head office in Stevenage and offices in the US.

The new Gyroscope office will help to connect staff from different locations, as well as providing them a hub to grow and scale up. The 2,500 sq ft space in King’s Cross was delivered over a 5-week programme and serves as a new addition to the business. The design incorporates their new branding and provides flexibility within the environment to support both visitors and permanent staff.

The office has been designed to have a relaxed and homely look and feel to draw staff to the office. The space is split over two floors, with the main office floor separate from the meeting suite which occupies the top floor of the property. The main desking floor has good exposure to natural light and is a calm, comfortable space. As a company developing medicines for patients, they didn’t want the office to feel overly corporate or clinical. The design integrates the original wooden floors and exposed services of the property which makes the space a more modern, industrial style space which aligns with the surrounding area of King’s Cross.
