Having a blank canvas and a client that trusted our instinctive design ideas allowed us to create a modest yet inspirational space for this growing company. To suit the nature of their business, we promoted the use of communal spaces to boost collaborative working and generate a friendly and social office space.
Friends of the Earth are one of their clients, and having seen the fit-out we created for them, CharityJob wanted us to mimic this creativity while staying within their budget. With the freedom of a blank canvas, we created a funky collaborative working environment that would help to inspire staff in a bright and modern workspace.
By adding vibrant colours to informal meeting areas, as well as writeable walls throughout, there is a new atmosphere in the CharityJob office. Adding in feature pendant lights to the space gives extra light and charm to the larger open spaces. The moveable furniture is an adaptable solution that enables the possibility for future expansion. The high-backed privacy booths are fitted with screen and make ideal meeting spaces or even more private flexible workstations.
On this project, we benefited from an interesting structure which we enhanced to make it more exciting without having to invest more funds into designs and graphics. Using accent colours and highlighting original features, such as beams, with vibrant colours was a cost effective way to improve the office interior. These colours are used throughout the office to bring the design together and lift the workspace.
With an open plan kitchen forming a natural hub for the office, we focused on bringing it to life with colourful accents and stylish lighting. Including this part of the office fit-out means that staff can get hot drinks and prepare meals for themselves during the day. This adds positive energy to the office and enables staff to socialise together.
