Given our focus is on creating workspaces that promote a sense of wellbeing, supporting mental health charity Mind in 2016 was certainly an apt choice. Through a calendar of fundraising and educational events, including Time To Talk Day, we were able to offer information and advice to anyone affected by mental health problems and we raised over £10,000 to help them carry on their great work.
In 2017 we supported a range of charities, with 14 people completing Tough Mudder raising money for FARA, two people skydiving for Mind and we had a Curry & Quiz Night supporting Red Nose Day. Further fundraising activities are in the pipeline for 2018!
When it comes to workplace innovation, we’re always on the lookout for what’s new and next and are keen to support the next generation of workplace thinkers and makers.
As part of this, in 2016 we supported Kingston University in setting up their Broadening Horizons programme which offers students practical experience working on a project and gaining insight into the how SME companies operate. Peldon Rose offered support to the students along the way and at the end of the eight-week project the students presented their project findings and report and received feedback from our experts.
Following the success of the initial projects in 2016, we were delighted to support Kingston University again with the Broadening Horizons 2017 programme and have recently commenced a new project with students in 2018.
