‘The future of the office is dead’ – this is the message we’re constantly fed when switching on the news or scrolling through social media, and it’s unsurprising, given the continually changing restrictions the COVID-19 pandemic is bringing to our lives. Although the future may be uncertain, it’s clear that the office still has a significant role to play long-term in the working world.
We recently suspended the majority of our sites following risk assessments related to working safely, efficiently, and challenges within the supply chain. Since then, the situation has become clearer with further guidance from the Government, and we have been able to re-mobilise sites which were suspended.
At Peldon Rose, we pride ourselves on building clients for life, and I’m truly grateful for the way that our clients, our partners and suppliers have worked with us during what has been a challenging time for everyone. Last week we made the decision to temporarily suspend on-site operations on certain construction sites where teams are unable to work safely within Government and Public Health England guidelines. It’s a decision we haven’t taken lightly, but we see safeguarding the health and wellbeing of our employees and stakeholders as our top priority, and we believe this is the right thing to do.
