Peldon Rose had cause to celebrate after being crowned winner of the Healthy Workplace category at The Merton Best Business Awards 2017.
Having delivered hundreds of healthy workplaces with our clients, we were naturally very keen to see whether we would be recognised for practicing what we preach to our clients. Therefore it was a great boon to be crowned the winner at the Gala Awards Final Black Tie Dinner held at Epsom Downs Racecourse.
The Healthy Workplace category looks at how organisations support staff health and wellbeing and, having implemented a number of physical and mental wellbeing initiatives recently, it was great to see our initiatives recognised and rewarded. In recent months the business has doubled the number of hours given to staff for physical and mental wellbeing activity whilst at work. This has led to a greater take up of our free gym membership passes, our badminton and running clubs have expanded and almost every member of staff took up the free office massages in October. We are also in the process of finalising plans for the expansion and refurbishment of our Wimbledon offices.
Goncalo Pinto, Senior Project Designer, collected the award for Peldon Rose and said “I was very grateful for the opportunity to represent the business at The Merton Best Business Awards 2017 and collect our award. I’m a member of our running and triathlon club, and I believe working for a happy and healthy office is one of our major purpose. All of our clients who have met me know that I’m always talking about the importance of a healthy workplace and balanced office design is very important to help make this happen”.
