Over the past few weeks, Peldon Rose has been delighted to welcome three sets of students from Kingston University as part of their Broadening Horizons programme.
Run by Kingston University, Broadening Horizons is a brand new programme which provides students from diverse courses and backgrounds with the chance to acquire valuable, practical insights into the real life environments of small to medium-sized organisations. Working in consultancy-based groups, students are given a particular challenge by SMEs and tasked with finding solutions to real company challenges and breathing new life in to business ideas.
By taking part, businesses benefit from up-to-date skills, fresh thinking and the chance to work with new talent. In turn, this initiative means that – on top of their degrees – students leave Kingston University with the essential employability skills and experience required for today’s increasingly competitive workforce.
Benjamin Murray, Spokesperson for Peldon Rose said: “It’s been great working the three student groups over recent weeks and we’re really excited to see their ideas develop. These students are the future of our workplace and so gaining their insight in to how the office could evolve and how technology will continue to change how we work will be fascinating.”
Samantha Gerrard, SME Employability Consultant at Kingston University said: “KUTalent, the central careers service for Kingston University, would like to say a big thank you to Peldon Rose for providing such stimulating projects and for their continued support in helping to further develop the students on the programme.”
