To further cement our client for life ethos with Office Space in Town, their offices at 46 New Broad Street were redesigned with a Monopoly theme.
Players move around the Monopoly game board buying or trading property, which subtly imitates Office Space in Town’s ever-growing and leading status in the London serviced offices market. But like any strategic game, this project came with a challenge; it was to be completed whilst business was still in play during their busiest month of the year – December.
Office Space in Town then gave us an added challenge; to not make any noise during working hours which could disrupt meetings, conferencing or the clients. Challenge accepted! We firstly erected a semi-permanent sound-insulated partition wall around the main front of house space and also restricted work on the central conference rooms to outside working hours. Challenge completed!
To make this a truly standout and memorable office interior, we installed bespoke 5ft giant Monopoly playing pieces using a Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machine, including a giant dog, top hat and train. Other neat additions included Monopoly themed drinks coasters, ranging from ‘Go to jail’ to ‘Pass go and collect £200’.
All clients and visitors can plug in and play throughout the stunning office as we installed new power supplies into each of the work spaces and break out areas. We also included a new seven section, freestanding bespoke joinery item with pivot hinges which creates a sense of privacy for workers.
We made alterations to the existing mechanical extract system, existing ceiling system and installed new electrical supplies. The front of house tea point and kitchen has all mod-cons including a Vivreau boiling hot and sparkling water tap with Linkline system, integrated fridge, microwave and of course a dishwasher.
The project was fully managed by Edward whose attention to detail ensured that project ran smoothly and with minimal disruption to our business.
