Connecting two floors for Office Space in Town

  • 201+ Employees

  • Euston Tower

The first Office Space in Town serviced office was the prestigious Euston Tower in London back in 2010. We helped them find the office space on the 33rd and 34th floor but, as the two floors were connected via a fire escape and communal stairs, it needed major works to create a new staircase linking the space together.

Major precautions had to be considered to ensure the remaining structure of Euston Tower was unaffected. Engineers made large structural changes, with careful consideration given to fire evacuation procedures. We also paid careful attention to the acoustics of the walls and ductwork.

Whilst the project was on site, Office Space in Town were selling the serviced offices off plan, so our designs needed to be as flexible and adaptable as possible to enable them to increase or decrease occupancy in each office in response to demand.

To meet this design brief, our concept and idea for their space was to keep it simple, clean and efficient. We added a simple colour coded office scheme for a more vibrant workspace that removes any sense of a corporate environment. The open kitchen space provides a communal area where staff can sit together and use for breakfast, lunch and less formal meetings.

These changes allowed flexibility in the workplaces and allowed Office Space in Town the right level of detail so they could adapt the offices to their varying occupancies and client requirements.
