Baker Hughes have a century-long track record, helping oil and gas operators make the most of their reservoirs. They needed a bigger workspace that would be as welcoming for their clients and guests as it was for their expanding workforce.
We worked closely with the Baker Hughes team at their new Chiswick Park location to create a new 25,000 square foot space, adding community areas to balance out their predominantly cellular layout.
Now you can find client meeting spaces, reception areas and a large breakout area as the new central focus for staff, encouraging interaction and collaboration. The result is a warm, welcoming office that allows this global company to be their best. Baker Hughes has a rich history of innovation and ground-breaking design so designing an office that reflected these traits was important. By sticking to a minimalist and sleek office interior, we could ensure that the space was uncomplicated and was a destination for staff to enjoy.
The stylish appearance of the shared areas is designed to promote staff welfare and happiness. This concept is a huge part of the Chiswick Park ethos and they constantly seek opportunities to enhance the well being of all staff using their office spaces. We looked to carry these ideas on at Baker Hughes’ new office space and their work environment has been optimised for agile working and shared social experience. A spacious kitchen design is filled with communal eating benches and breakfast bar so that staff can prepare their own meals and interact in a less formal way.
An impressive boardroom is finished with a sweeping table that accommodates for the many guests and visiting clients at Baker Hughes. Fitted with writeable walls as well as the latest technology, helping to improve communications between offices around the globe was an essential feature of the office fit-out. World clocks, in local times, line the wall as a reminder and appreciation of the different offices located around the worldwide.
