Nexus Underwriting wanted to relocate their office to build an inspiring workplace that creates a visually stunning environment to host and entertain their clients. The new Nexus office is a 17,000 sq. ft. space located in the old London metal exchange building at 52 Leadenhall Street. Nexus are currently in occupation at 150 Leadenhall Street, so this relocation sees them retaining their prestigious location in the heart of the City.
We are conducting CAT A and CAT B works to revitalise the historic property but we are retaining as many of the original features as possible and promoting the rich architectural details, such as the original skylights, and including them as significant features of the final design.
The design centres around the inherent characteristics of the building and maximises the spacious 5-metre high ceilings. We will be adding in more structure to the building to create striking focal points, a staircase and a new mezzanine level. The office will draw clients into the office and serve as a striking shopfront to the business, providing a prestigious brokers lounge and client entertainment space. This is a landmark project for Nexus Underwriting as they look to enhance the experience of their office, and build a remarkable environment for their staff and clients.
