Sloping off for a weekend away

26 February 2016. News.

For some employees, the thought of spending even more time with your colleagues after working hours may not be top of your list of things to do.

Here at Peldon Rose we’re big believers in the family bond which connects us and makes us stronger. That’s why, in addition to our running, squash and badminton clubs (and a few social activities), we also go away each year on a Christmas and Summer holiday which is organised by the company.

This year our first adventure was a ski trip to Fieberbrunn which is a stunning market town in the Kitzbühel Alps. Over 20 people from the company, including our CEO JP, dug in to their pockets to pay for a long weekend together in Austria. From the seasoned professionals (show-offs) to the novices (intrepid ones), we had a real mix of abilities out on the ski slopes as well as on the dance floor!

Organised by Steve Williams, Design Manager at Peldon Rose, everything was taken care of for staff so we could all relax and have a fantastic, memorable adventure with our work pals.

One of our novice skiers was Cat Lamaletie stated “I had never skied before….and I was a little nervous about the trip. I needn’t have been though as everyone looked out for each other like family. It was great how the more experienced skiers gave up their time to help people like myself master the snow plough as well as just staying upright and in control! The days were filled with skiing, falls, tears, smiles and camaraderie; and the evenings were filled with Jaeger bombs, dancing, laughs, snow ball fights and pure FUN! It was an amazing long weekend away together and some beautiful friendships were formed. I’m so glad I went and we’d all like to say a massive thank you to Steve Williams who did an amazing job arranging such an awesome trip. He’s such a legend!”
