Our chosen charity for 2015 is… Alzheimer’s Society

29 April 2015. News.

Last year, we managed to raise well over £20,000 for the MS Society, in aid of our founder Andrew Yates who sadly passed away from Multiple Sclerosis last June.

This year we’ve set out to raise over £20,000 for Alzheimer’s Society who are the leading UK care and research charity to support people with Alzheimer’s and other dementias, as well as their families and carers.

Alzheimer’s Society is the leading source of information on all aspects of dementia and their campaigning has been the catalyst behind improved government support and public awareness. The charity is the pioneering champion behind the research for the cause, cure and prevention of dementia. Their vision is of a radically improved world for people with dementia.

Our CEO, Jitesh Patel, says; “Alzheimer’s Society is a charity close to the hearts of several people at Peldon Rose and so we are delighted that staff selected this charity. We have already formed a Charity Committee and they are busy planning a range of fundraising initiatives, including some during Dementia Awareness Week (17-23 May). The funds we raise will go towards their services for people with dementia, their families and carers and contribute to the pioneering research. We’re proud to support the incredible work they do and look forward to working with them.”

Seema Chopra, Alzheimer’s corporate account manager, says; “We're delighted to have been chosen as the Charity of the Year for Peldon Rose. We have a fun-filled year ahead of us and can’t wait to get going! One in three people over 65 will develop dementia. Money raised by Peldon Rose will help thousands of people with dementia and their carers access the knowledge and support so they need to have the best possible quality of life.”

Please look out for news on our fundraising activities. We look forward to you joining us to help raise money for this fantastic charity!
